SOS @ Regional Together for Adoption Conference

Spring proves to be a very busy time of year- especially in SOS! We are thrilled about all of the different ways that God is moving through SOS to further His Kingdom. One of our great joys is to share the passion of our ministry. We achieve this goal of advocacy through speaking at different high schools, churches, youth groups, and conferences.

We are excited to partner with Together for Adoption and Michael Vinson from Child’s HopeChesthttp://www.hopechest.org at the Regional Together for Adoption Conference! Below is a message from the conference directors.

Each year Together for Adoption offers several 1-day conferences in various regions of the county. Our hope is that you will leave these regional events with a deeper sense of God’s adopting love for you and a better understanding of how to love and care for orphaned and vulnerable children in tangible ways. Join us this spring for our regional conference in the Winston-Salem, NC area on April 28th, 2012 at Calvary Baptist Church – West Campus.

This conference is not just for those who are considering adoption. Consider what our adoption is in Christ is and explore its implications for Christian living, orphan and foster care, and adoption. Any Christian will find the conference very helpful.

We are excited to report that we have over a dozen contributors to the outstanding breakout session lineup including organizational leaders, advocates, pastors and adoptive parents from across this region as well as other parts of the country! Carolines’ Promise, ABBA Fund, Project Hopeful, Children’s Hopechest, & Lifesong for Orphans, and SOS Save Our Sisters are just some of the organizations represented as exhibitors and/or in breakouts. We also have speakers such as Professor Jonathan Bolin (Piedmont International University), Chris Marlow (co-founder of Help End Local Poverty), Tamarian McIntyre (Senior Caseworker for Forsyth County DSS) and more. Special guest speaker for the conference is Burk Parsons, editor of Tabletalk magazine and associate minister at Saint Andrew’s in Sanford, Florida.
